Here's some pics from my first PDX event at Summit Point Raceway this weekend. I had a blast. Toasted my new brakes and wore out my clutch but it was totally worth it. Enjoy the pics and I'll have a vid up soon.

Daaaaamn, now that's the shit. You went from "my car's too pretty to autocross" last year at Carlisle to now this, wheel-to-wheel racing. Pretty damn cool man.

And I see you got the GoPro Hero on the job. Awaiting the vids.........

you should come to the PDX at NJMP 350 for sat and sun and 25 for sat only. all people will be required to havve a drive assistant though.

Thanks everyone. lol I disappear for a few months and come back with my pretty car that would never see autox, running high speed laps around Summit Point. It was so much fun. If you have never done anything like this please contact your local SCCA group and join the fun.

My clutch is a new stock mopar clutch that can no longer handle the 300+whp so it was slipping the whole day. My new Wilwood "track" race pads are shot along with the rotors. The "track" pads are like HP+ pads with a slightly higher heat range. Yeah, not so good for the track. I'm also running ATE Super Blue racing brake fluid. So I think next time i need better pads and id also like to get my car corner balanced. Right now she has a nice rake to her which looks cool but now i feel is adding unneeded weight to the front of the car which may have added to the brakes failing at the end of the last track session.

Anyways, thanks again for the comments. I'm about to start working on the Vid.

The ass-up stance is pretty close for these cars. I cant help you with pads for the willwoods hawk Blues are the next step followed by Blacks. I think Carbotech makes pads for the willwoods.

What hood is that I need one now

Yea, I actually already looked that one up. But damn, 350 is a little too rich for my 50 buck autox blood. Maybe one time this year.

guys dont be scared...you not going balls to the wall (unless you wont to). plus you have an instructor riding with you the whole time and he wont let you wreck your car. big thing is brake pads, fluid and good tires. so i say again, dont be scared.
