Best sparkplugs for a full Granatelli system???

I've been doing alot of reading and I wanted to see what some of you guys are using as far as plugs. I just bought Granatelli coil and wires from MP and I was thinking of going NGK Iridium.

What are some of you guys using?

I am currently running Bosch Iridium Fusion plugs. So far they are great. While coppers are generally recommended, they didn't hold up too long for me.

Just an WARNING, the Bosch Iridium Fusion plugs are part platinum. But I have also ran straight platinum with no troubles...

There isn't really an "upgraded" plug for the 2.0. It all depends on the life that you want.

Plus whatever claims coil manufacturers make, you will likely get better voltage via plug wire choice than coil choice. The insulation thickness isn't so much a factor as the conductor/insulation material.

A good silicone based insulation that remains flexible, also means it won't get brittle and crack.

I got some cheapy Denso ones. I plan on doing a Fuel Injection cleaning once a year (16 oz. Seafoam can through the booster vac line), so no reason to spend a lot on plugs when I'm gonna get them changed once a year (and you know the typical person doesn't follow the maintenance intervals

)

Copper works like a champ. Just because they aren't $10/plug, doesn't mean they aren't good. Good car tuners generally won't tune high-HP cars unless they have copper plugs.

I personally have had no issues with the plugs after a Seafoam. They will burn it off just fine. It is no different than flooding the engine. (Fuel) Actually they do far better at self cleaning with Seafoam, or MCCC than being gas soaked.

But if you are putting on 15 to 20K/year, with coppers, it won't hurt to change them regardless. I regapped mine, and it didn't last 5000 miles before it started to hiccup again. That's when the iridium's went in.

If you do fuel soak your plugs, remove them, and hit them with a propane torch for a few seconds. Works like a charm. Oxy-acetylene works too, but you really have to be careful: They will melt with that.

I had the same experience with copper plugs. I just change them at 30K. They are not expensive and last how long they should.

I'm still not convinced that Granatelli wires are all that. I've never seen them personally. Just because someone put an ohm meter to them and measured DC impedance getting a lower number than other wires, it doesn't mean that they are better than other wires at conducting Pulsated DC which behaves like AC.
