I'm sure that whatever Chrysler/Fiat builds as the new Viper will grow on me but I will always have the hots for the last generation.

The new one reminds me of the 1996 Dodge Viper GTS

The nicest looking viper yet, the front has a bit of a ferrari 599/ koenigsegg Agera mix to it. Thank god they got some more ponies out of it, still a bit low for the displacement if you ask me, I mean if lambo can get 691hp out of 6.5 litres then I think Dodge should have been looking at, at least 670ish with 8.4 litres. Not that there is anything wrong with 640 though

A lot of the guys over at VCA are quite disappointed with the new Viper. I think it looks pretty good, though my favorite is still the Gen IV. They are complaining that the HP numbers are a bit low, but the torque curve really isn't a curve, it's a shelf, I bet this thing will keep up the Viper tradition.

I'd take one if given the chance.

Holly shit this new one just makes the last 7 years of Viper look like a brick - like shit; like the growing pains of the Corvette's in the 80's, the ugly 2003-2010 Vipers are gone, and for the first time I can say, "Thank you Fiat". The GTS is back with the beautiful Marcos Mantis / TVR lines it always should have had.

I'm in love. Can you tell?... :tardbang: :tongue9: :tongue9: :tongue9: :dogfuck:

EDIT:

After much thought...

I know where I've seen this exact car before (besides Hotwheels)...

Okay, I've looked at the pics from the Motor Trend link and on allpar.com. The car will grow on me, fer shure. What is going through my mind right now is that Dart sales will probably benefit once people see the "family" resemblence between it and the new Viper (especially the dash and LED-lit tail). Chrysler did do a good job of making the Dart look like a more expensive car without it being at the Viper's expense.

The Corvette looks absolutely ANCIENT compared to the new Viper.

Yeah my first thought was wow this kinda looks like a TVR but they realy have brought a nice blend from the 96 viper and the eruo supercars.

Did you know the new Dodge trucks coming out won't have shifters...
You select the gear by rotating a knob in the dash to what gear you want to be in. Using the same shifter technology the 300's currently have they will utilize this to remove the shifter from trucks...
:banghead:
Just something else to go wrong....

You have to look at the entire lineup. I highly doubt they would install such technology on the ST and Tradesman. If you want a truck, get one of those. If you want a truck that is comfortable and filled with gadgets, get a Laramie.
