Post by Caraudioholic24 » Thu May 03, 2012 9:21 am

Hey gurus LOL. In the process of swapping my pnp r/t head. Wanted a few OEM gaskets. I didn't want to get the complete kit cause I wanted a better quality valve seal and head gasket. Heres a list of what numbers I have and what I still need. Thanks

-R/T Exhaust/Header gasket 4884089AB
-" " bolts 6503131 (x8 )
-R/T Intake Manifold to Head bolts 6506575AA (x6 )
-" " Gasket 4648623AB
-03 R/T Cam Magnet 5293199AA

Thats the Pn# I have so far. Let me know if those are good. What I NEED is the following....

All 03 R/T

-BOTH Cam seals
-Cam Gear Bolt
-Cam Magnet Bolt
-Freeze Plugs Under the cam magnet and cam gear...
-Gasket for upper coolant neck to head (plastic one)

Not sure what other gaskets I need. any help is appreciated. Trying to make this swap as easy as possible...Thanks

-Cam Magnet Bolt 6503688

-Freeze Plugs Under the cam magnet and cam gear... 4556020 PLUG, Core, 1.25 Diameter

-Gasket for upper coolant neck to head (plastic one) That is a thermostat ring. I think Mopar only sells it with the T'stat.

4777042AB SEAL, Spark Plug Tube

4777626AA GASKET, Cylinder Cover (valve/rocker)

These are from the '01 parts, so some numbers may have been superseded. But they are all the same for all years.

No, the seal is a lip type seal on the gear end, and the CPS seal is the seal for obviously, the CPS end. No tools needed to install, just put the cam in first, then push the seal in by hand, and install the cam gear.

Yea I have both types...the cps seal is like a rubberband. I need another cam in front of the cos to seal the cam to the head... I believe it is the same as the cam gear side

No, there is no seal on the CPS/magnet end. Just the milk jug ring. You don't want a seal there, it needs to lube the CPS area, as the CPS is the thrust bearing for the cam.
