Yea I've seen most of it on the org but will definitely stop by to see it in person.. They used a gm supercharger from the ion/cobalt, chopped and weild the neon intake runners to the cobalt adapter piece, custom underdrive pulley and belt tensioner, and he plans on making a custom hood to fit..

The supercharger itself is like 500+- which isnt too bad but the custom pieces and aluminum weilding could add up real quick.. I'll definitely keep this in mind though for the future..

Wish they had a bolt on kit that'll fit our cars.. I know the pt setup is very close and would love to see some one bolt it up on a 2.4 neon..

Why would you prefer a supercharger to a turbocharger ?
BMW used to put superchargers on Mini Cooper S, but now
they've switched to turbochargers.

I guess to be different and a little more unique plus if you twin charge you can make a stupid laggy turbo spool up like stock with the help of a supercharger.

Never said or if mentioned that I would perfer a sc over the turbo.. Turbo is soo much easier and better hands down.. Its about being different.. I was gonna use my old t25 turbo setup on this motor but decided not too cuz of the headaches I'm having with my other 00...

Besides that there only like 4 supercharged neons to countless amounts of turbo'd ones... Why not be #5

And again.. I'm just throwing this idea in the air.. I'm not set on it at all cuz I know theres alot of fab work involved.. I would want to build a itb setup before anything..

Got some work done today..
I degreased the block, sprayed it, ran taps in all the mounting holes, mounted majority of the powdercoated pieces, and removed/gutted the balance shaft crap..

Tomorrow I'm gonna try to get the pulley puller out and remove the crankshaft pulley, remove all the old timing components, and swap out the oil pumps.. Still need to block the oil passage from the balance shaft..

Think I'm gonna hit up my powdercoater and see if he'll recoat the oil pan black cuz it just looks too weird being white.. I'm also gonna tape up the head ports and spray it black to give it a lil more sexy appeal

Intake manifold, coolant housing, and valve cover will be on shortly..
Looking forward to getting this in by the end of the month..
Not lacking much, just little odd and ends that I can get from autojoke..

Blew both passenger side tires on blackey last week so I had to buy some replacements..

Sux'd but it needed to be done..

Now I'm trying to get back to the whole carshow deal so I'm get this one swapped but hold off on everything else..
