Only picture so far. The black one of course. ANOTHER huge snow storm on the way about to hit KC area. Snapped a photo when moving the cars around.
More photos will be added when all this nasty weather goes away. Thought I would share to my 2gn fam. Can't get enough of these damn neons.

Drove the silver one in the slushy mess Black one is in the garage.Brrr! Get those Neons inside before the storm hits! Looking forward to more pics of the new one.
It was a risk I was willing to take.Yeah that would of sucked. Just missed the 2nd nasty snow storm in Kansas. Drive went really smooth. OH yeah, 6 pucks are not fun in Chicago with stop and go traffic... And another thing. There are a ton of tolls when leaving chicago. Like $10 worth or so. $1.60X2 and $3.60X2 Realzied I didn't have a license plate so I drove through the last one without paying. Never got pulled over once without plates. Kept my eyes open for troopers. Was about to pass one but slowed down and just stayed behind him.I'd be AFRAID, to DRIVE a car back home..... Across the Midwest..... In Winter. Whats that supposed to mean? Something I need to know about this car? PM me if needed. I know it has a carquest halfshaft on one side and a GPS halfshalft on the other lol. Car kind of shakes when shifting but he said thats the nature of the 6 puck and solid mounts. But yeah, like I said, 6 pucks suck.Nice you bought dans car, hopefully everything goes well with your new edition to the neon family. lol
Plan on keeping this one. thanks guys

Not enough time! Will probably go back out there this Spring. I enjoyed being out there, I just hate cold weather and..NorthFace faggot coats everywhere.titansxt wrote:You came here and didn't stop by to do some drugs?! What gives?
Yeeeahhhh that would suck pretty bad. This one has 120k on stock timing belt. Getting that taken care of soon once I get the title, registered etc..Sure beats what a guy I know did. Flew to Texas to buy commemorative edition SRT with like 65k on it and the #4 rod let loose in KC. Tow dolly brought down and hauled it up overnight, I'm dropping off my spare SRT engine in morning.

Thanks. Its a good neighborhood. Very quiet.Passt wrote:Looks great! Those are some nice looking homes, too.
Yup. $5k paint job the insurance company paid for. Unfortunately I just noticed on the hood today you can barely see a line going all the way across., like they didn't bother sanding it down when they repainted it. Everywhere else is fine though.did he ever get the car painted when it got key'ed???
Here are a couple more boring driveway pictures:

Thanks. Insurance isn't fun. But if I was younger it would be a lot worse. Just glad I don't have a car payment.
Here are some recent photos:
Car has my MB 5x's on it, red third brake light, shorty antenna. Had to get the entire antenna unit from the junkyard since the old antenna on it was stripped inside so the shorty/factory antenna would not work.

Number 1 choice was "POOP" but Kansas sucks and I didn't get that choice or POSNEON

Thanks. Dan did some interesting work on the car:
RTV everything! Yes thats the part that goes in the intake manifold. And yes it has an 0-ring that was smeared in RTV
Love how he told me before I bought it the car had no boost leaks. Car would not hold pressure at all. Those two lines were not even connected at all.
Fixed that of course. Car still would not hold boost worth a damn during the test. So I got a used OEM TB. All is well, no leaks. Car runs way better with that.
RTV on the coldside pipe of the intercooler LOL.
Not sure how much RTV the engine ingested through all that.
Never received his e85 tune. Pretty much completely ignored my simple PM and simple text to him about sending me the tunes. He told me he would tune the car for me also as long as I owned it. Might have to do with his blue SRT-4 he picked up the day I bought his.. It is having a smoking issue and he is going to have to pull the motor. :/ I don't know. All I know is that the car was in better hands with me. I say "WAS" because I have someone buying it tomorrow. It is going into good hands. Guys treats his cars very well. He didn't even go WOT when he was driving it.
Sold it because I want to get into something cheaper.. Looking for something ugly, with good gas mileage. Will use the extra cash to put into my silver car. Plate will be transferred to my silver car.
