Yea same here. I still see hood pins as a ricer mod unless the hood is skinned of it's bracing and latch and needs pins.

what does crappy pics have to do with seeing a hood latch on a closed hood? And the reason the hood pins are there because it does not have a latch and I am not driving around with a CF hood with 2 holes in it.

ThatKevin wrote:don't like the pins :$
and I never liked CF, but look what I got. I would not have pins if the hood had a latch and wasn't already drilled for them.

Hey guys, I'm not a huge hood pin fan on sub-V8's either, but that's how basically every carbon hood I've ever seen or had was.

And the latch part... uuhhh yeaahhh... unfortunately I let it go in a previous deal. Sorry again.

Glad you like it, man, it looked better on your car than mine.

I still have pins in my now stock black hood. Thinking about spraying them black to reduce the apparent "ricer-ness" of it. On the other hand, I'm around race cars all the time and no matter what kind of car, from our Miata to our McLaren, they all have body pins of some sort. Hood latches are for ricers

Not a fan of the hood pins, but I understand their necessity. Could you possibly switch them to something like these?

Image

I've seen those on some other cars and it looks top-notch.

Yea, they're starting to put those on more and more race cars as well because there are no actual pins to lose, and again, it looks so much more integral with the body lines. I have always liked those.

If I gave a shit, I would do those as well.
