already offered such a place on the first page lol.
Two of my friends (and myself) will all be getting up at the crack of the crack to make the drive and meet up at what I'm hoping will be the same spot as last year.
EJ, you are definitely more than welcome to crash at my place man. So long as you aren't allergic to cats. I have one, unfortunately lol.
I'm in Wayne, Mi btw. About 45mins to an hour away from where we met up last year.
oh, btw... add me to the list please!

So...what's going on with this? Is everyone on their own this year?
Personally, I plan on taking a route that DOESN'T involve tolls this year and, I may have found the perfect route. The only difference between the route we took last year and this one is 1hr20m & 17.34mi. From my city, of course.

Haven't exactly found a spot for everyone to meet up at that DOESN'T involve getting off of the HWY. Still working on that. I would like to know what's going on with this and if there will actually be a caravan this year. Last year, we had it figured out by now lol

i'm hitting the turnpike. i'm gonna crash at erick's again this year. i'll be leaving from chicago area at 5am-ish
anybody from the chicago area that wants to drive out together, meet at the Target parking lot on S. Halstead St. in East Hazel Crest, IL. i'll be LEAVING the parking lot at 5-5:15am CENTRAL TIME in order to stay on track.
this should put us in position to meet the toledo crowd and LEAVE the Wyandot service plaza near Genoa, OH at about 10:15-10:30am EASTERN TIME.
skaterking, we can make the Glacier Hills service plaza near New Springfield, OH one of our stops if you're still planning on going with. we would be LEAVING there at 1:15-1:30pm EASTERN TIME.
there will be various stops along the way from there to get gas. to the best of my knowledge this accommodates everybody and puts us at the hotel no later than 6pm eastern (leaving error time for delays).

Turnpike doesn't have any Marathons? Damn they are everywhere on major roadways.
As far away as you guys live.. I would LOVE to ride out with you guys as a group. That would be epic.
Have a safe trip guys, see you soon!

Okay let's figure out a meeting place and time please!
I'm agreeing with the Genoa service station. If you google it, nothing will come up.
Here is a link http://www.ohioturnpike.org/travelers/s ... ice-plaza/.
It's in between exits 71 and 81 on the Ohio Turnpike (I-80) for those who don't know.
Let's all agree to this at least? Then figure out a time when everyone should be there.

I have some info:
The toll cost from the I-280 & I-80/90 interchange to the Carlisle exit on I-76 is going to cost exactly $37. That's $11.50 in Ohio, and $25.50 in Pennsylvania.
I for one, and I know others, do not want to spend nearly $75 on tolls over the weekend (even more for people coming farther away).
I propose that we take an alternate route, which will drastically reduce the amount in tolls we have to pay. We can exit off of the I-80/90 turnpike at exit #218 (Niles/Yorktown), and hop onto the I-80 interstate. After that, there will be some rural roads to take, and we will end up in Carlisle.
I just checked the mileage, and it's LITERALLY 5 EXTRA MILES!!! It will add about 30-45 minutes of extra driving time, but who cares!!!
Turnpike all the way: http://goo.gl/maps/hOqdd
Cheaper (but funner way): http://goo.gl/maps/OyRkU
I would love it if the caravan would stick together, and taking this way saves everyone a good chunk of money. $50 is a tank of gas and a lunch.
Fuel/food for though!

Eh, I was just being funny. Just for giggles, I tried the higher octane premium once but didn't notice any increase in performance.03_SXT wrote:As long as I have access to 93, I'm all set. I'll have to stock up on a few bottles of octane booster just incase!
