No, I don't have these yet. Are they difficult to install (translation: would you or someone else be patient enough to give me directions while I do the work)?
Any one of us can help. :D

Well, the blue ones are as close to :quotes: Mopar blue :quotes: as one can get, I guess. They don't show anyway, right (yup, couldn't get away without having at least one noob question)? How much will these cost?

Like $20 and they take maybe half hour to install, only end you'd see would be the ones on the trans and the battery tray pretty much hides those anyways.

Your shifter will feel 100 times better with these. Much smoother and firmer shifting! Firmer as in more confidence!

Attendees at today's Dayton, OH meet were showing me things that will probably have to be removed under my hood in order to install the Boogers. :runaway:

Ya, this coming from someone who is confident about working on cars. I will admit to being really nervous about the install but, if you will be as patient with me as you were at Carlisle, I guess that I'll be okay.

By the way, would anyone be willing to help me change the filter on my CAI while we're there? This will involve removing the driver's side front wheel to get at the filter. Also, I ordered the Mopar Performance Strut Tower Braces today- would I be able to do an install there?

By "we," I hope that you mean me doing the work with everyone guiding me. I'm just at the beginning of the learning curve about this stuff- anything more than changing the oil or lubing grease zerks is all new to me.

I taught my girlfriend how to use a plasma cutter, pull a chimney down with an air chisel, and cut studs out with a sawzall in the last 3 weeks. We'll be able to get you to install a few simple bolt-ons!

Got my front strut tower brace via FedEx today (long story about that- will share at the meet). After reading the installation instructions, now I'm really nervous about this...
Mopar Performance Parts wrote:Mopar Performance Parts recommends professional installation by an ASE certified technician. The spring is held under high pressure.
You guys have done this before, right? Please go ahead and tell me that I'm worrying for nothing. :tardbang:

You're worrying for nothing. There's a total of 3 13mm nuts on top of each strut that require no special tools. There is no need to replace anything else. Some people say to install the strut brace with the car in the air to "preload" the bar. it's a moot point in my eyes. on another note... i'm ASE certified

That's so Chrysler can eliminate 'retard liability'.... You know, for hacks who are retarded and have no clue or concept of what they are doing.
Think of it as the 'standard disclaimer'. "
'INSTALLATION BY ANYONE OTHER THAN A PROFESSIONAL MECHANIC *MAY* RESULT IN DEATH, DISMEMBERMENT, INJURY, AUTOMOTIVE DESTRUCTION AND / OR ADDITIONAL REPAIRS IF INSTALLED IN AN INCOMPETENT MANNER BY IDIOTS'

In all seriousness.... I suppose some 16-yr. old kid, might try loosening the top nut of the strut, thinking they have to remove it to install this item, or crack the coil pack by dropping the strut bar on it, or short out the battery by laying the strut bar across the battery terminals or something, or etc. :tardbang:

I have installed and removed a few of these myself.
No big deal.

No, I don't classify you as one of those 'idiots', David.

The fact that you are concerned and ask questions, proves that you are not one of those. :)

Of course if the bar is installed with the weight of the car on the wheels, removing the strut center nut, nothing bad will happen.....

Unless the strut is blown, and the shaft falls down into the strut, and they try to drive off with it like that.
