, so while I was out enjoying one of the last rides of the year I snapped some pics of my baby.

Thanks guys, this R/T is my baby. It's one Neon I will never sell. I went with the 1GN seats because my stock R/T seats were were all dark grey and boring.

The first gen seats gave the interior some color to match the bright exterior. After doing the seats it only made sense to do the inserts. That was more work then I bargained for and even though they look nice I'm still trying to figure out how to keep them attached to the door panel as they have the tendency to fall off while I'm driving down the road.

Actually I think the 1gn seats are more comfortable than my stock cloth 2gn seats. The material on the 1gn seats is much softer than the 2gn seats. That soft material combind with the high back bolsters really holds you well in fast corners. I have heard the optional leather 2gn R/T seats are really comfortable, but my car didn't come with them so I'm not sure how they would compare to my 1gn seats.

In your defense though both your Neons prob get driven more than my R/T. I usually put less than 1,000 miles a year on it. Most of the time it just sit's in the garage. It hasn't seen a winter since I have owned it and really the only time it ever sees rain is when I take it to Carlisle.

You're right it's getting hard to find a nice clean R/T that's why I'm saving mine. There are a lot of people saving SRT's, but in 20 yrs from now I will have one of the only clean 2gn R/T's left.

I had the chance to trade my R/T for an SRT but I turned it down, bc I like having something that stands out from the crowd.

Bagnut I love the 00-02's look too, I like the separate turn signal housings, it shows the cars 1st gen Neon roots. 03-05's are nice but the 00-02's will always be my favorite 2nd gens.

ragek23: An early 2gn front end would prob look pretty cool on a SRT-4. Those seats came in red and black 1gn R/T's.

dblsg: Yes I swapped in the rear seat and custom wrapped the rear door inserts to match as well. It's the complete package, non Neon people think it came like that from the factory.
