Don't flame. MTX swap. Plz check my part list.

Questions about axles, transmissions, differentials, pretty much anything that connects the engine to the wheels, this is the place for those questions.

2001 atx le. About to do a cable clutch mtx swap.

Parts I have:

3.55 Transmission, cable setup
Clutch Cable
Shifter cable(s)
SRT-4 Shifter

Parts I Know I need:

Throw out bearing
shifter boot
mopar transmission fluid (not sure which yet, prolly atf-4)
Booger Bushings
Pt Cruiser Modular Clutch 4668555AH

Parts I Have Questions about:

CABLE CLIPS:
4269830 - at the trani - $2.70msrp each 2 needed
6501326 - at the shifter - $1.85msrp each 2 needed
Are these correct?

Transmission mount (only second gen? What's it mount to, if motor, won't first gen work?)
2000 Neon Clutch and Brake pedal assemblies (clutch and brake 1 peace or two? Do I need to mess around with the gas pedal?)
Passenger wheel axle (First gen won't work right, cuz it's too short?)
K-Frame (Never heard of anyone needing one. Not sure.)

Do I need any other bolts, clips, adapters, sensors?

I am going to be using my atx PCM for now then get a 2001 R/T one flashed for my car and do a magnum conversion.

Please help. I wouldn't post this on neons.org but I hear 2gn is a lot more civilized.

Thanks a lot for your help guys. I want to get everything in the next 2 weeks.

First thing I noticed is your choice of lubricants. Please do not use ATF+4. Use Mopar gear lube or Amsoil. Linkage cable clips are correct you'll need two at the tranny and two at the shifter. Also you'll need a brake booster clip, you'll only need 1. Don't need a K member that is for 1st gens only. You'll need the passenger axle from any 2000+ MTX Neon. Only a 2000+ Neon tranny mount will work, first gen will not. The 2nd gen clutch/brake assembly is one piece and you won't need to worry about the gas pedal. Every bolt you'll need will come straight off your ATX, i.e. bolts for your clutch will come straight from your Torque Converter, etc. When you get the pedal assembly make sure you get the clutch pedal stop with it. It's a little gray piece at the end of the pedal where the clutch cable attaches to. Also you'll need a reverse light plug with a pigtail from a donor car. Do some searching here if you can't find the information then it is on www.neons.org. I have a write up there for 2nd gens. Overall your list looks pretty good. Do a search for it there if you can't find it I'll give yah the link. Good luck. :( My project isn't done yet I'm still waiting on cone/race bearings and the Miller Torque Turning Tool.

Nope. You'll just need the hydraulic setup to make it easier.
