But if he has the bottom end built up with those mods wouldnt he be able to run more than 8-10psi boost? (I just thought that when you built the bottom end with either the MP or Howell bottom end kits you were able to un more boost...)
So i guess to determin how much HP you'll get from the setup, you have to tell us how much boost you want to run!

imo dont rebuild the engine and use a tiny turbo like a T3... your internals will handle fine way in the 500hp range, so get your fuel right too and you'll be golden; same thing there... just get a megasquirt, instal it over a weekend, and then have the option to infinately tune your ride; an engine rebuild is not cheap, coz you also need to get it honed, overbored, have the internals weighed out, the crank spun, bla bla bla, so once you get over that financial hump, there's no need to skimp out on $300 and risk having it all go to waste

Maybe I'm just dumb, but I have no idea what this says. Wait, I think I got it.... Nope, I lost it.rice_eater wrote:imo dont rebuild the engine and use a tiny turbo like a T3... your internals will handle fine way in the 500hp range, so get your fuel right too and you'll be golden; same thing there... just get a megasquirt, instal it over a weekend, and then have the option to infinately tune your ride; an engine rebuild is not cheap, coz you also need to get it honed, overbored, have the internals weighed out, the crank spun, bla bla bla, so once you get over that financial hump, there's no need to skimp out on $300 and risk having it all go to waste
Are you saying that it's your opinion that it would be better to do a larger turbo, since he's already building the motor? If so, I agree.
It also appears that you're saying to tune it so it doesn't fail. Am I correct? Again, if so, I agree.
I'm not sure what the $300 part means. Please say it again in a different way.
