When i lowered mine with coilovers, my back struts were toast after about 6 months. Give it a year max., and more then likely you'll be riding on your bump stops.

do 1gn springs really drop the 2gn 2" ? Ive seen pics of neons with 1gn springs and the drop looked more like 1", but heck who knows. with a 2" drop youre struts could fail within months, while with a mild drop some people have claimed they lasted over a year. either way its best to swap in some aftermarket ones asap

I did mine a year ago. At the time, one was already bad. I think another has went, but I can't say it's because I put lowering springs on.

well when you guys say gold lines are they drop springs for a first gen cause the one guy on here with the silver neon has first gens just regular bottom of the food chain neon springs not acr springs or rt and not lowering for first gen just the regular first gen springs he said they are fine just have to cut the bump stops like a 1/4 inch. but thats just what he said cause i was gonna do mine but im super lazy and have not been to the junk yard lately

im still glad i went for the HP's right away. Saves having to do the whole thing over in a year or two. Anyone have any idea how long my setup will last with reg street driving and some hard miles in the canyons as well? prokit+HP's + f/r sways. stock wheels for awhile.
