What did you do for your 4th?

Post by DannyBoy » Wed Jul 05, 2006 4:27 pm

I had a barbeque at a park with some beers, came back to my friends house around 9, went across town to see some fireworks and look for some girls. Went back to my buddies house and had a small party with some girls we met.

It was a fun 4th I must say.

Worked from 10pm on the 4th to 6am this morning. Could see about three fireworks shows from where I was at so it wasn't a complete loss.

Went with my wife to older bro and his family's house with and we had a cook out with some friends and other family members - was pretty cool. then we sat and watched the neighbors all around for like 10 mile radius blow up the sky.

Man, for all the places that seemed closed on July 4th, there were a lot of people that worked.

I had July 4th off, and today is my day off too.

I worked from 6:30 pm to about 1:15 am. Before I went into work, however, I was watching the Italy game.

While at work, I was able to see all the fireworks shows from around the nation. Almost every home team had a fireworks show after their respective game (remember, I work for MLB). So I got to see about 5 or 6 shows lol.

Totally drove back from georgia in a 2002 acr that my bud Jason just bought. 30 hours is a long ass drive but it was worth it cuz that car is bad ass and way better than anything we could find around here for the same cash.

I watche fireworks from my girlfriends house (right next to the park where they do the fireworks). Got a call at 10:45 from my little bro asking me to try to get ahold of my mom, who was supposed to pick him up. Because traffic was at a standstill for 30 mins or more, I decided to walk to where was at. Got there... he wasn't there. Called him, screamed at him, found out he was NOW at the park that i just left. So I got pissed, hung up on him, had my g/f call him because I could do it without screaming... ended up getting him back to my car, took him back to the palce he was supposed to meet my mom in the first place... she was pissed. She took him home and I went back to my girlfriend's house. Felt sick the rest of the night because, I thnk, of some undercooked burgers I had at my g/f's house.

Oh well... I guess it was better than working.

Was happy that I didn't have to work and I got paid for it. Went with my parents to the highschool to watch a fireworks show, then went to my favorite site. 2gn.org! Wow I am a loser.

I went to my uncle's with a lot of family and friends. Went kayaking on the lake he lives on and also went fishing. Didn't catch anything but it was a nice day so it was fun.

He also bought 30 lbs. of crab legs and lots of other fish and steaks, so I ate my heart out. Then at night we had loads of fireworks. He got them from South Carolina, and there was this one that looked like a birthday cake and shot 660 fireworks into the air. We were setting them off for over an hour.

It was pretty fun, even though my mom didn't want me surfing that day because I had to spend it with family haha

I did some stuff around the house, went to my boyfriends. Grilled out w/ his family and then just played nintendo and watched movies.

Saw some fireworks breifly when we came back into town, but thats about it.
