Someone school me on my speakers and amp

Post by Unknown-Destiny » Sat Jul 08, 2006 2:57 pm

Ok, I inherited my fathers speakers and amplifier. I know they did sound good in his '94 Toyota Camry. I want to know what the neon community thinks.

Specs:

Polk Ex-Series II speakers

Driver Complement: 6" x 9" 3 Way
Mounting Depth (top mount): 3 1/8"
Cutout Diameter: 5 15/16" x 8 15/16
Frequency Response: 45Hz - 22kHz
Power Handling: 180 watts max
Nominal Impedance: 4 ohms
Sensitivity (SPL at 1 watt/1 meter): 93dB

Polk Ex-Series II speakers

Driver Complement: 6 1/2 coaxial
Mounting Depth (top mount): 2 1/8"
Cutout Diameter: 5 3/8"
Frequency Response: 75Hz - 22kHz
Power Handling: 120 watts max
Nominal Impedance: 4 ohms
Sensitivity (SPL at 1 watt/1 meter): 92dB

Amplifier

Alpine V Power MRP-F200
DC-DC 4/3/2 Channel Power Amplifier
75Wx4CH MAX
180x2CH MAX

So what am I working with? I want something with power and sounds great. Like I said, they sounded great in the old Camry, but what about my neon? Thanks for taking the time to read this.
How will my story end?

True dat. But yeah polk is a good brand. One of those over-rated brands but still a great brand.
