Foglight Connector

Post by SolarYNeon » Thu Jul 20, 2006 12:49 pm

does anyone have a picture of the fog connector. I've got two connectors behind my bumper, that I'm pretty sure are fogs, since my multiswitch has the fogs on them.

But a picture would tell all.

Thanks :D

There are only 2 identcial connectors on the 00-05 neon for the fogs, they Y into the main harness with another style connector....

I'm sure I saw them because I saw two prongs sitting behind my old bumper. I'm pretty sure those are it, but I just wanted to make sure.

Thanks BRR :D

As I said before, there is a pigtail near the PAS side of the radiator, from there connector connects to it and runs to the outer portions of the fascia...
If you do not have anything posted above, your going to need the fog light install kit...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that if you look through the slots on the bottom portion of your front bumper and see wire loom running across (from left to right) the top of the black plastic air dam, you have the fog light connectors. I'm pretty sure those are the wires that BRR's referring to.

does every neon have the pigtail for the fogs? and if my 03 didnt come with fogs, what all would have to be done to get stock fogs working on it? (probably along the same lines as what SY is asking)

thanks guys I do have them, im just a so dim that light bends around me sometimes :(

But lil, You'd have to get the foglight install kit as BRR mentioned. Now I dont know what that includes, but you're going to need the connectors, i believe the harness, and the multifunction switch. :)

If you have the pig tail near the radiator, you might be able to get a harness, multifunction switch w/fog and install a fuse and it might work, otherwise you will need...

AHHH

so life sucks rofl.

I get the wires ready, connect them and all, and whaddya know.

THE WIRE IS TOO SHORT! SOB!

What a PITA. Anyone know what gauge wire it is?

I need to know ASAP. I was just going to cut the wire, and then extend it about 4 inches, that way I can fricken connect both fogs. They look great and even turn on (yay) but the wire is too short.

::EDIT::

Okay so I found some old wire laying around. Jerry rigged it! Works flawlessly :)
