it works on v8s because the amount of exhuast gas pushed thru the pipes is FAR greater then that of a 4cyc. and as you see, even on those large motors, they still use TINY a/r housings to fight spool time. when i lived in sfla there was a black z28 wtih the kit, i think it was the first proto of it, it was on like 7 psi, made well over 450rwhp i believe. the idea of this is that you can still have your long tube header, and basiclly all your n/a mods, but then throw a few psi onto that for some REAL giddy up.
as far as a neon, youd need a HIGH comp n/a built motor, and a TINY TINY baby dick turbo to get this setup working. i saw it once at the track on a civic hatch back. with a .48 exhuast house, he reved his h22 to almost 11k, and was hitting full boost at some god awful number like 8-9k. and this was a purpose built race car mind you...
