HVAC bezel

I was reading a second gen FAQ today and it noted that, they claim that the SXT & SRT came with HVAC bezels that were color matched to the cars exterior. I've only ever seen them in the glossy silver or the plastic black.

Somebody want to clear this up for me? It would be much appreciated.

I think the 03+ neon/srt's came w/ the color matched bezels. Im not 100percent on the srts, but I know the sxt's did in 03+. There is no glossy black bezel though.

the shifter surround on the ATX's was also color matched.

That's so very strange. maybe it was different up here due to the model differences. But if that's the case, i wonder how my shifter surround and hvac would look painted in patriot blue.

i thought all SRTs came with a silver HVAC? didnt know they came with color matched.

heres a ok pick of how patriot blue should look. [took it from a craigslist add for a 2005 neon SXT]

sorry but isnt that electric blue? ^^^

SOME sxts came with color matched, some with cf look. From what i understand only a black neon could come with a black hvac.

That's understandable. Patriot blue was only offered on the new style neon for one year in 2003. I'm startning to think silver would look better in my car. I have chincy black plastic now (no paint/gloss at all) and the blue on my body (see sig) is pretty damn dark.

I didn't realize the shift surround was removable.. if that's the case i may forgo buying the silver from the srt and paint my own.

All the SRT bezels are silver. The color-matched ones on the SXT's are part of the "Sport Appearance Package".

Johnny, thanks for clearing that up. I don't think that package was offered up here. As far as I can tell, up here the base recieved plain black, while the 04+ SPORT & SRT recieved the silver treatment.

SRT's only had the silver surrounds
SXT's had the option of a color matched HVAC bezel and shifter bezel. You can still order the color matched stuff, even woodgrain but there not cheap

Where did you get those prices?

I paid less than half that for my woodgrain bezels from Mopar Parts directly. In fact, you can still get them for less there.
