Subs

Post by glasjaw » Thu Dec 02, 2004 12:13 pm

Well since its the xmas season and all, im gonna be asking for some bump for my ride. Thing is, i know virtually nothing about car audio. I have a sony CDX-F5705X head unit and i want a decent amp/sub setup anywhere from $200-400. If the more knowledgable people could help me out that would be grand.

(I also have no idea how to wire anything)

If you want a good priced, good setup for subs and amp, I recommend MTX. I had them in my previous car for over 2 years and I never had a problem with them at all. JBL, Kicker, JL are all expensive brands. Just go check out pricing, maybe a audio shop will have a deal with two subs and a box. They usually do.

And don't buy Sony Amp's and Subs, they are junk..

You want to spend 200-400 on a subs or on the subs and wiring and all that junk? Coz your looking at $100 for the wiring alone. Depending on what style of music you like, I'd get something like Alpine. They make good subs and for pretty cheap. There amps are good aswell!
