fender question

Post by TheRandom1 » Mon Jul 31, 2006 10:56 pm

I have an 04 Neon. I'm looking to trade a guy for some z3 fenders from his 01. I know there was a headlight/front facia change in there, but I don't know if it affected the fenders at all.

My question is, will 01 fenders work on an 04?

My only question is how well they fit. I have them, but I haven't had a chance to put them on and see what I need to do.

I'll keep you guys posted!

Its aftermarket...what kind of z3s are they?

I have aerogear fiberglass ones and they fit well, but only after hours of trying to adjust them and the fact that I also got a new aftermarket bumper at the same time.

They're used Z3's. i don't actually know. Fiberglass is all I know. I will post pics of them as soon as I can.

Either way, with aftermarket stuff, its not going to be like stock and its not goign to be perfect. Its going to take some work to get them to line up right, and even then it might not be what you want it to be.

What fenders are on your car there? I'm mostly worried about the door and hood gap actually. The bumper isn't a big factor.

You did? I thought they came off of another car? I thought that's where the chip came from...

Oh well. They're new. And painted. Just have a couple very very minor things to do to them before they're on the car for good, haha.

OK, then i need two things.

First, to see your car done so I have an idea of the quality. (Not that I'm doubting you, but you don't buy a car without a test drive, ya know?)

And, also... a price. We can talk about that via PM though. Or AIM.

I'm more worried about quality than color... the color part is easy if you go to the right places, haha.

Let me know when it's all done and I'll stop by and take a look. Or I can see it at a meet or something.
