You can swap an R/T or ACR rear disc set-up to a 2nd gen, we've done 2 at my shop. Easiest way is to go to a junk yard and get the WHOLE rear suspension and brakes from an R/T or ACR and basically it just bolts on, don't forget to get the parking brake cable with it! It took us about 2 hrs to do the swap and get it on the road. Its been about a year since we last did it so i can't remember all the parts for a list.

Is it really worth it? I mean, other than not having gay little drums showing through your 17's?

That would be the only benefit I could think of.

Not to mention the weight you ADD, thus making the car slightly slower. :(

Actually a Neon with 4 wheel disc Stops ALOT faster than one with drums. But for the most part we've done them as show mods, rotors look better than drums.

^^^^ what he said!  I checked with the local yards.....No R/T's that we haven't already taken the brakes from. They've got about 20 2nd gens and a gazillion 1st gen's but none have them have rear disc's left. I think we did the last car for about $850-950cdn installed with NEW cross-drilled and slotted rotor's and Hawk pads. Majority ofthe $$$ was parts, install was only $250cdn.

Depends...on alot....depends on where you live...depends what junkyard....and depends how well you know the owner of the junkyard. But on that note....good luck finding a second gen with rear disc in the junkyard.
