yeah im running the srt cat back and that baby was loud as hell... But all good thing come to an end and one fix it tiket later i added a 30" glass pack in the mid section... its the biggest you can install since these glass packs have to stay damp and moist according to the guys in the muffler shop.. so he mounted it as far back away from the cat and only fit a 30"..

id personally suggest a glasspack smaller than 31". talk about silent. shoot for a 24-25" if you want a good deep rumble thats more bearable than wide open pipes. If you put a 31" on there u might as well just put the stock exhaust back on and poke a damn hole in the muffler haha.

If you think a 31" glass pack with an SRT exhaust is "stock quiet with a hole in the muffler" you are sadly mistaking.

Tips don't make much of a change in the sound, nothing noticable to the human ear atleast, unless you got the whistler tips! They got the woo-woo!

I agree with orangeblast I had a 12 inch and it wasnt that loud at all. But as far as the srt exhaust goes they usually cut out a section of the midpipe sacrificing one resonator and weld the glasspack in place. The glass pack is like the picture above, its a long round tube. What your friend is thinking about is what I did. You can take out the section past the rear axle and simply clamp the muffler onto the pipe . They make some really pretty ones with tips from 40 to 100 bucks. I made my own by cutting up a 20 dollar glasspack.

I welded some adapters to a 2.5" X 29.5" glass pack, then used T-bolt clamps.
