Leather arm rest

Post by LC_Neon » Fri Aug 11, 2006 4:43 pm

Was the leather center console lid available on early 2000-02 neons?? I think saw one sometimea few months but can't remember where.. I'm supposing they are really rare to find but it would be cool to have one.

I found this http://stores.ebay.com/VAUXHALL-KING_Ch ... idZ2QQtZkm

and there are some weird pieces because the interior parts are from the UK.. surround sound+light? beige leather armrest? ..

Well I am not sure about the leather part of your question. But alot of that stuff is crazy. I have never seen a wood grain on a neon before (suppose thats the UK flavor), and also if you notice on the multifunction switch, you can have the fogs on at any time....not just with the headlights. Cool....

I actually wasn't aware of this until a few weeks ago when Midnight_Rider show'd it to me in an export brochure that he found on eBay.

Yeah, the UK console has a leather armrest. I've been trying to get one in Slate Grey but haven't had any luck. Other differences in UK Chrysler Neons include:

1) The door trim has leather inserts with a fake woodgrain inlay at the bottom;
2) The rear seat has three adjustable headrests;
3) The headlights have levelling motors activated by a switch to the right of the rear defrost control;
4) The rear view mirrors have motors that are activated by a switch on the driver's door that causes them to fold flat;
5) The rear bumper has fog lights (!);
6) Traction control and AutoStick;
7) Repeater turn signals on the front fenders.

Pretty neat, huh?

Go to www.chryslerjeep.co.uk and check the used cars section for Neons in England if you want to see pics of RHD vehicles.

Jason, are you going to try and order it? Be careful not to get the vinyl one if you use that VIN.

I just checked the guy's other auctions. What the hell is a "headlight aim switch"?? Check out the assembly with the power outlet and the defogger switch.

That's for the motors on the headlights. You can manually aim them via this switch. Check out the Neon Service Manual for all of this cool stuff... it really blew my mind when I found these things in the 2002 Manual after I bought my first SXT.
