Switch Box Project (air ride)

Post by LaidNeon » Tue Aug 22, 2006 2:35 am

Decided to modify my Switch box, here's a before pic

Image

It was too boring & besides, one of the last times i took it out it stopped working right. Dunno WTF happened, but the damn thing wouldn't work like it did before i took it out. I hooked it up exactly like i did before. So i had to ghetto rig 2 switches together for the mean time

Image

Now onto the project. First i sanded the box down after i removed all the old switchs. I took one of our New CRUCIAL MINDZ Dot Com stickers & took the www. & the .com off of it & put it on the face of the box. I laid down some black primer for a backing coating (you'll see why). After that dried i laid down some color. Then i let it sit for awhile & removed the stickers. Now comes the clear coat. Earlier today i went to EPO & bought 10 new switches.

Now since im only running 4 valves, i really only needed 2 switches. I have a 10 switch box & only 3 of those switches did anything I bought 8 momentary push button switches & 2 on-off push button switches. 2 momentaries for the front & 2 for the back (up & down of course). The other 4 will be used later on when & if i decide to get side to side. One on-off switch controls the lighting inside the box & the other controls my compressor.

So here's the pics & enjoy

How do you like the buttons instead of the toggles.
