Post by reduceallpain » Mon Aug 28, 2006 11:23 pm

driving a 2001 dodge neon r/t

this is the problem... i dont know if your neonms have problems putting gas into it where the pump clicks off and the gas attendent has to hold it.. or sometimes falls out but mine does.. and gas attendents usually have to jam it in for it to work.. well yesterday the gas attendant jammed it in and the plastic piece broke i dont know whats its called but all last night and today the car was running fine...but tonight i went out and going down my street in neutral my car died going 10 mph... then whenever id take off itd be fine and switch fine.. then whenever i went to stop it shut off again...and i tried to start it but just turned over..then i waited about 15 secs and tried and it started.. did this about 3 times.. then i got it home let it sit for like 3-4 mins exact and it started and ran fine... the engine light is on... and it shoots out these codes and i need help please

Do you have any idea where the plastic piece broke off? It sounds like you have a vacuum leak in your EVAP system or you Idle Air Controller may not be fuctioning correctly allowing enough air into the engine. I really have no idea :(

P0805 - Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction

I took a gander though my books and DCX doesn't list any diagnostic procedures for that code that I can see :-?

You got me too with that code, StarOnline in DCx did not even recognize it :?
Reset the pcm by disconnecting the battery and yanking the fuel pump relay. Let it sit for 30minutes then reconnect everything..
As for the fuel spitback, its normal..The pump he is using to fill your tank with puts out to much pressure and flow. He has to slow down when filling the tank.
The little plastic thing is probably the metal flap that seals the filler neck, in order to replace that you need a new filler neck.
