Unfortunately for me, after the wife heard about my plans, she said a big fat NO

And not NO, but HELL NO.

Oh well, back to the drawing board.

My fiance liked the sound of turbo better than nitrous, so go that route lol. But she also loved the 13 second all motor 2.4 sohc I showed her too.

i am finishing off my nitrous install today and it's an nx wet kit with a 50 shot. i bought it used for a good deal and it came with an electronic mopar nitrous pressure gauge (250.00 value!!!). however, everyone that i've spoken with recommends the zex except for the fact that the bottle valve doesn't flow as well as nos or nx. seems like most of the hard core racers prefer the nx kit. i would imagine it's a little more flexible than the zex. for street use i don't think you can beat the zex. it installs in a snap and automatically senses fuel pressure drops and cuts n2o, etc. it's very safe, very easy to install and reasonably priced. the only drawbacks to the zex are that it's less flexible and somewhat less powerful. just my .02. honestly i wish i'd bought the zex direct port kit. for around 700.00 you have a complete direct port set-up that negates the risk of backfire b/c of fuel puddling in the intake.
ooh...there's a glimmer of the dream left!!!

There is ALWAYS a risk of nitrous backfire. ALWAYS!

ok if that's the case then at least with direct port you have even n2o/fuel distribution rather than lean/rich conditions that a std kit causes. besides direct port looks better

A wet kit gives even distribution, until it hits the manifold.

But, yes, direct port is the shizzle.
