Has anyone done this successfully?
I have an 01 R/T with airbag seats.
My brother has 01 R/T with non-airbag seats.
We would like to swap front seats.
Does anyone know how to do this without having an airbag light in my car, and with the seats being functional in his car?
seat swap, airbag to no airbag and opposite
people that have removed their front airbags have gotten rid of the light by intalling a 2 ohm resister... this might also be true for the seat sensor

hmm
That would work for me, but in order to trade him he would want the side airbag seats to be functional in his car.
Actually what I'd like to do is install just an SRT driver's seat and potentually leave the passenger airbag seat in place. I could install a 2ohm resister in the connector for drivers side but does anyone know if the passenger side would still function?

Yes you could do that.
About getting his to fuction though, the side airbags are controlled by two side airbag modules, if you pop your driver or passenger door sill off you will see under the module that I speak of. That will need to be swapped into his car but the biggest problem you'll have that I don't know if it's even possible to easily get around is that the side bags are also enabled in the PCM so that ultimately will be your issue. You could swap some things but that can get a little involved for just seats

guess I need a DRB3
I'll have to find somebody with access to a DRB3.
Ideally what I want to do is install a passenger side non-airbag R/T seat, and then have a driver's side SRT seat recovered with R/T style cloth so my interior still matches without having to swap my door panels and back seat.
