help!

Post by SleeprNeon » Wed Dec 22, 2004 7:02 pm

well, i was driving my baby, 2002 atx, along the road and all of the sudden my headlights start dimming, i didnt know what it was so i just accelerated a little bit and they lit up again, so i continued driving and all of the sudden the car just died, i put it in neutral and started it up again, it started fine, and i just continued driving, the check engine light is on, but i dont know whats causing it, i figure it is a belt, the alternator or the battery, any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks

Check your codes.

Put key in, turn ignition to ON, then OFF-ON-OFF-ON and watch for the code that displays. Then take that code or codes and look them up here..

You dont' have to, just put the key in, turn ignition to ON, then OFF-ON-OFF-ON and watch for the code that displays on the odometer. Then take that code or codes and look them up here..
