2002 Neon R/T, full SRT 4 swap, Stage 3. Lower price!

Post by 2002srt4 » Tue Sep 05, 2006 12:08 pm

The car is a 2002 Neon R/T that I have dumped too much money into.

Full SRT 4 swap
Viper inspired seats, front and rear
Stage 3 with turbo toys
Quickwhips large fmic
Exhaust Depot new style hardpipes
Brand new short block/water pump/ timing belt system
'05 LSD tranny w/ 2400 miles currently
brand new 05 axles
05 ACR BBS wheels
Sunroof
Carbon fiber dash replacement
Dual LED OBD 2 gauges
Mopar performance cat back
Injen short ram intake.
The body is all SRT 4, fascia, sideskirts, hood, rear fascia, spoiler.

It has just gotten past the 1,000 mile break in on the new motor, u have no idea how hard that was with stage 3. I'm just not really feeling the car scene anymore. I'm looking to get a house as soon as possible. The car runs great and will tear up almost anything on the road. Being a 2002 R/T it will be cheaper on insurance for you. The bad part is that a bank probably won't loan you the full amount.

Price reduced: $10,500

Yes, this is the actual cluster from when I did the swap. It is more true to the age of the car than the r/t cluster. I really did make it a nearly brand new car.

no offense, but your crazy if you think your going to get 16,500 for this car, there was a couple 1st gen neons, emmaculate, with the full srt-4 swap for sale and they sold for no more than $5500, neons dont hold there value, your lucky if you get 7k for it

No, I won't be lucky to get that. I know what I have in the car and this is well under that. There is no way I'd let it go for less than I can get parting it out.

I will get pics tonight and have them posted tomorrow.

I only recently got it running at full power and got past the break in on the new engine. I'll be running it this friday without high octane on street tires. I'm not expecting much but we'll see what happens.

doesnt matter how much money you have tied up in the car, you never get back what you put in, especially since the value of neons depreciate by the min!! i really hope you get as much as u can though, its a nice car, and ppl shouldnt be so cheap!

I realize that and that's y I'm not asking over 20k for it. It really is basically a brand new car with a little used car charm, squeaks and rattles that come with a few years driving. Hell, this year alone I added over 5500 in the new engine and performance mods.

The price is pretty negotiable. Don't think of it as an R/T, the only thing original is the body, rear brakes, and steering wheel. Otherwise its all srt 4.

Nice, impressive car. I agree with others though -- you will never get out what you put in. There's some things I don't like: graphics, Injen sticker, 2-tone paint theme. I would have kept the R/T looks -- to make it more of a sleeper. I'm unsure why someon would pay $16K+ for a 02 R/T made to drive and look like an SRT -- when you can buy an 04 or 05 SRT for the same price? Good luck though.

Its made to look and run like a stage 3 srt 4. The decals are easily remedied with a little heat and goo gone. That was my starting point, I'm negotiable on the price. I also have plans to paint the front and rear lips if it doesn't sell. The way I see it is what's the point of having a sleeper stage 3? I want people to think I'm a "ricer" so they mess with me. Then their mouths drop when they get blown away

i dont know how you get bored of S3, especially after just finishing in the break in period but maybe you just havent tried HOM yet... was having power even at 1500 rpm too convenient :P the srt like everything else dodge doesn't hold it's value financially, but its gonna be a car i'm always gonna love and probably never sell... i'll get way more excitement from driving it than the amount of money i'd get back from selling it...

............... I emailed him like 2 weeks ago and he said he was going to fix the radiator and the oil leak. I was going to buy it in Spring/Summerish. He said no one was really interested in it. Blah that blows. How much did he sell it for Jermey? It was down to 10500 here... I really wanted that car too. For the power that is. Not the looks.
