are you talking about the antenna plug or the factory harness plug?

since you tested it with a cd i'm assuming that you had bought the harness adapter to go from factory plug->radio

the antenna plug should fit.. but if not you need to get an adapter for that as well

yes, the black part is supposed to be on there. you need an antenna adaptor to make your antenna work with an aftermarket stereo.

OR - you can spend as much money on an antenna adapter and get crappy radio signal, loose it all the time, and never get to use AM... or do like I did - in the passenger door kick panel, is the antenna plug wire that runs into the firewall and outside to the fender/antenna. If you notice, the wire has a plug on it - which, when unplugged is just like the one you can use on the back of an aftermarket stereo!!! AWESOME! Now, go to best buy or some other electronics store and buy an extension wire that is 4-6ft in length... mostly, they are sold in meters, so like 2.5 meters will work... anyway, you get the point... now, remove your glove box, and dash, and hvac bezel. plug the wire in, run it behind the glove box along the main wire harness and up to the top of the dash. Then run it DOWN through a hole that runs above the hvac and wire it through to your stereo. EASY as pie. And you get full use of your AM/FM receiver!

OR you can do even better and wire up an iPod into your stereo and never listen to the radio again! (at least, that's what i did. :P )

oh yea... that doesn't answer anything... umm.. just jam all that crap back there

eventually thing will fit.

I am NOT from Kansas - that is raul01

I am from Missouri :)

Anyway, I changed out the plug because I had so many stupid reception problems, mainly because I listen to stations that do not carry 100kw of power, mostly NPR, AM Sports talk, political radio stuff, mexican music (all AM), and some mainstream. When I listen to stations on mainstream, no problems, but I could never get great reception. Some said it was the stereo (Pioneer DEH6600) but I have had nothing but luck with their Supertuner III and D and all that crap, but when I had to use an adapter, I had problems.
It could also have been the adapter I used - but it is a Scosche, and they are top'o'da'line stuff as far as MY experience goes. Anyways, that is what I did and for the same price, it worked just as well. Plus, I still have the old plug in it, so I can always just replug it up and use again. :)
