ok right now i have a 2000 neon base with some goodies the usual stuff cai, header, lowering springs, srt-4 exhaust, etc...

anyway i'm thinking of waiting till income tax time and trading her in on a 2001-02 neon R/T.

what's everyone think?

comments, suggestions, etc...

thank you

i think thats a good idea, but keep the stuff that you can reuse on the R/T, and put the 00 back to mostly stock, as sometimes that can hurt the trade value

Very good idea, I would take everything off your current car (even if it con't be used on an R/T) then just sell whatever you can't re-use and use that money to re-buy what-ever (mainly a new CAI) and get it in black! or silver I don't recall ever seeing a silver R/T :-k

Get out of dodge while you can. I'd get something that you can resell for more than a bag of cheeseburgers when you're done using it.

What do you mean while you can? Do we have a Chrysler hater here? If people are out buying new or slightly used cars at retail to sell them at a later date and make a profit, they need to reevaluate their business plan, because its a losing battle.

when i get the R/T i'm not gonna wanna re-sell it trade it whatever.

:) ya whites a good color too.

talked to the dealership lastnight and they said they would look and give me a call as soon as they got one so probably by the end of the month or so. and then we'll see how it go's from there. the reason why i went down and had them start looking is because i wanted to give them time to find one. instead of going hey i'm here get me one now :D. so that's were i'm at, at this point. when they give a call i'll let you all know.

thanks again

As much as would love to step into a SRT-4, which I could, just the insurance bill being more than my monthly car payment doesn't sit well with me.

The only car I know of that has a real profitable resale value is BMW. But I didn't buy my ACR to sale it.

Ah, just wait till 07 when the new ones come. As much as i love the 99-04 mustangs, the new ones are growing on me. Gotta love the self-setting windows when you open and close the doors.

i dunno about all them bells and whistles....to me hot rods should only have on it what it needs to go fast. maybe a radio for some good music to go fast to. My favorite muscle car didn't even have crank windows....68 Hurst Hemi Dart.....had belts to pull the lightweight windows up with just to save the weight of the manual cranks.

Eh, when you get to a certain age, you enjoy more than just going fast. I just happen to get to that age sooner than my wallet.

Oh well, Lariat trim level trucks are nice. And I need a truck a helluva lot more than I need another damn car. Its hard to haul and tow without one.
