Re: afx with turbo?
Nope cant do it, I mean its phsically possible but wouldn't make sense. The AFX PCMs advance timing to make an NA car faster....turbos pull timing so you would need to pull the timing even more then with the stock ECU. Better off going with a complete stand-alone kit.speedyrb29 wrote:just wondering if any 1 has used the afx comp with a turbo?

When finished will run no less then 400 HP.

Plus do you really have 6 months to spare wilst waiting for the PCM to be shipped to you?2k2patriotblueneon wrote:Nope cant do it, I mean its phsically possible but wouldn't make sense. I have been in talks with Gary, and the situation you posted should have been resolved
Anyone looking for an AF/X should also keep in mind, if you send him a core to reprogram...DO NOT SEND HIM AN UNKNOWN PCM...what I mean is dont send him a $50 core pcm you picked up from a junkyard, from my findings thats the number one problem with any reprogram he does for you.....
Howell offers GREAT pcm's, but if you send him a core thats in unkown condition its going to cause you problems. Howell DOES test pcm's before reprogramming but this is only to make sure the pcm is ok, that does not meen it will last over 5kmiles let alone 20minutes...
Remember its electronics that are un predictable, I blew up a $350 used pcm thinking it was a Howell problem to find out the donor core that was sent in was the problem.
Had to post my 2 cents..

Dunno had bad experiences with howell so I don't think I would believe that. You probably sent him one and they focked up. I don't think they would admit error even if they did... Just my take on things. Oh and chris heres your two cents back.BlackRoseRacing wrote:I have been in talks with Gary, and the situation you posted should have been resolved![]()
