quick question
can i completely remove my air box? and if so what do i do with the elbow with the iat sensor on it?

u mean to put a CAI on? yeah u can completly remove it and the resonator in the fender well. the sensor does nothing u can just zippy tie it in the nearest location if u are just going to put a filter on the throttle body but if u get a cai there is a hole for the sensor.

actually, the sensor is an ambient air temp sensor, and it does indeed have a purpose. whoever said that this sensor does nothing is full of shit. sure, its not exactly the most important sensor, but i wouldnt be surprised if removing it resulted in a slight loss in gas mileage and perhaps even a minor loss in power and response.
as for the first question, removing the airbox wont hurt anything as long as u replace the intake system with something that has bungs for the sensor and vaccum hose. oh and an air filter would be a wise choice as well
