cleaned up a magnum intake manifold

too bad its already sold.... i thought itd be cool to show the before/after of glass-beading an intake manifold

its hard to believe that thats what mine looked like new, over the last 5 years its growing more and more

ingly yellow and black and just frikkin dirty!

thats because i spent too many hours on it... id rather spend too much time, than not spend enough and have it come out like crap... i hate having my name attached to bad work so id rather over-do it

the glass-beader wasnt working too well recently, it seemed like it wasnt shooting out glass... only air

i pulled the glass feed line... there was a mummified stinkbug in there that was clogging it up - works like a champ now! that could explain why it didnt clean up that manifold sufficiently (the r/t ernie)

I was going to say you should use sand blaster on alum, the final product is usually pretty sweet looking.

I did that on my ebay intake and then clear coated it and it looked bad ass.

i sold it, i wasnt looking to polish it as it was getting sold... i just wanted it cleaned up a bit

I don't have one to be done personally right now, but if I did I would be all over this. Your work is wonderful...and no matter how OCD it is....it's better to be that way.

but yeah, if you want something done id be glad to do it... my glass-beader can only handle small to mid size pieces though... i had to seperate the intake manifold just to blast it though
