who can make some molds similar to this but for our cars? you make me a 2 piece plennum and 2 piece runners and i'll take it from there... these look so simple!

hmmmmm......I'm not too sure that would work without blowing it apart.....
I think the ones in your links are simply a replacement Airbox for ITB setup..... or at least that's how it looks on the first link....so it would be like replacing the factory airbox with a CF one, not the intake mani.
I COULD be wrong though.....
Josh

Remember Josh......most of us wouldn't ever be "blowing" one apart. We have negative manifold pressure.
As far as whether they are airbox's or plenum's I'm not sure either. They sure looked like plenums though. Do all BMW's have individual throttle bodies?
For our cars, I would think that a well crafted cf intake/plenum would work fine for N/A. When made right, cf is stronger than steel. Which I guess means that "if made right" it would hold all the boost you could throw at it.

They use carbon fiber for making boost pipes so the blowing up part is not an issue.eVilcreations wrote:hmmmmm......I'm not too sure that would work without blowing it apart.....

But yes it is basicly an Airbox for an ITB set up. Its designed to go on the first gen M3. They where ITB powered four cylinders. My buddy has one is the motivation to finnish my itb set-up.
There are two very big reasons for the carbon fiber. Weight and flow. The stock plenum on the cars is realy heavy.
Someone I forget who makes a carbon fiber intake manifold for honda's. They cost like $1,200.
