An Ebay cai would be a lot cheaper for the same results. If it's the mopar your after, it's actually an iceman. You can pick up an iceman cheaper at modernperformance.com.

you could probably go get your "umadbro" polished up to make it look like a new comeback againtitansxt wrote:I hear the whats it called, Dodge Neon, is a good car.
I'd have to go with the AEM cold air, because of the fact that it sits lower...........hence colder air. If you went with the Mopar intake you wouldn't have to worry about hydrolocking (or so I was told by a friend who installs these parts). But as far as performance goes, I'd go with the AEM.

If you drive like any sensable person you don't have to worry about it at all, no matter who makes it. AEM=overpriced ebay intake, with AEM sticker.blue_sxt wrote:I'd have to go with the AEM cold air, because of the fact that it sits lower...........hence colder air. I agree with that, but he was asking for opinions between AEM and Mopar.2k2patriotblueneon wrote:If you drive like any sensable person you don't have to worry about it at all, no matter who makes it. AEM=overpriced ebay intake, with AEM sticker.

My iceman's airfilter sits behind my fog ligt hole, the mopar would also. http://www.neons.org/forumdodge/MP2001Neon1.jpg The iceman comes with a bellows tube and is $30 cheaper from modernperformance.com. If it's looks your after, go for a shiny intake. If it's performance, go for the iceman. It funnels the incoming air for increased torque and is made of plastic which won't heat up the incoming air like a metal intake will. None of the available intakes have been dynoed against eachother, that I know of. It's all a matter of personal preference.blue_sxt wrote:I'd have to go with the AEM cold air, because of the fact that it sits lower...........hence colder air.
