I personally thought it was average. prob wont buy it. I actually enjoyed the first one more than the others. I just liked the atmosphere in that movie better than the others.

Still got to love that blown big block in that charger, even though its a dummy motor when he is racing it around the city, it's just bad ass to know you got all that power on demand, 4mpg...800+HP...
ill probably buy it. i bought the other 2 might as well get the 3rd like others are sayin. i never got a chance to see it in the movies. i just saw the bootleg dvd version that my friend lended me a few months ago. it was just someone in the movie theatre with a video cammera filming it hahaha he did a good job at it though must of had it on a tripod or somethin....anyways ill probably get it. it was my fav out of the 3 of them....

*shrugs* i own the other two movies... I'll probably buy this one to just complete the collection... when it comes on sale at Family Video for $7.95.

Yep it was on the mustang. You can put anything under the hood you want. I still want it to look like a classic Mustang. It did look good other than the fart can. i wonder if they really ran it with that motor in it. (in real life or was it just a prop with the motor)TNK wrote:was it on the mustang?r/tmike wrote:I also thought it was average. It was a good renter. I liked the other ones better. they built like 10 or so of them, and yes, they actually had that motor in them. i read abotu the cars in a mag, and i saw somethign about them on tv, and they showed the car actually driving and everything, pretty fast too.r/tmike wrote:Yep it was on the mustang. They only really built one with the motor in it, from the skyline, minus the twin turbo setup. It ran, but they couldn't get it right.. The actual "drift" car had a ginormous big block in it, and then they had a couple of bang up cars with smaller v-8's and maybe some 6's, saw it in Hot Rod mag. I wanna see the movie, maybe when I get paid.TNK wrote:they built like 10 or so of them, and yes, they actually had that motor in them. i read abotu the cars in a mag, and i saw somethign about them on tv, and they showed the car actually driving and everything, pretty fast too.r/tmike wrote:Yep it was on the mustang. It may have drifted, but it didn't do any drifting at all in the movie.
Here's a link
Also, the spearco intercooler on the front is a dummy
Hot Rod Mag did test the skyline powered one:
On the test track, it plowed up to 60 mph in 5.38 seconds and cleared the quarter-mile in 13.36 seconds at 109.83 mph. And it did that with virtually no drama while sounding like a '52 GMC pickup that just had its rotted muffler fall off.
