Howdy All
Just posting some pics of the new K2 Motors 2nd Gen(2000-2002) projector headlights I received for my birthday. I got them in chrome as I thought it'd look better on my silver 01' than the dark housing ones. Maybe because the tails are also chrome...

I also got the ones with the LEDs on the sides (BYD code) instead of the top of the housing. I also just did the quick plug and play method - I'll post some pics when I get the LEDs and halos wired. They do glow bright white/blue when I tested them. I know its going to get mixed reviews so enjoy (or not

) anyways

.
Much Care,
Frank

A million people are going to ask you for the light output, so you should get your camera ready.

The light output is actually pretty decent. They provide bulbs for them and the regular running lights are a white but the lense is an eerie purple when you look at them. The high beams are intense... I was going to post light output pics but camera died. Hope to get some soon - and also wiring the LEDS and Halos. Price is like $340.00 clear - shipping included from Cali. Look at K2 Motors website (
www.k2motor.com)

Those are identical to the ebay ones, and still look like rice, I would really like to see the output on a garage door or wall, take a pic from about 20 feet away, then closer.

Yeah, when I first looked at these I thought they didn't have the little blinky lights like the Ebay ones. O well nvm guess I'm sticking with halogens. :/

I normally don't like the chrome housing but it does match the silver quite well.
Like it's been said: get pics of light output!

I REALLY hope the low beams aren't on in this pic, the projector lense has a tendancy to fool you in flash photography, it will look like it's actually on even though it's not, I have had that problem while photographing my own.

Hmmmm.... now onto my questions.
1. No doubt whats the light output like as everyone is asking.
2. What type bulbs go into the projector housing?
3. What type is used for the halogen housing?
4. When do the angle eyes light up? Just with the headlamps on?
5. Does it look like the LED lights that are on the side, do they look replaceable?
6. What do the LEDs turn on with? Turn signals, headlamps? Hi-Beams? You get the idea...
Do you have any pics of the rear of the assembly?

Agreed, they'd have to black for me to buy them but I'm a little torn at this point

In one hand I really want projectors but in the other I dunno if I like these well enough to buy them

^^ I agree.
Angel eyes don't help matters. I hope they don't turn on whenever you turn on the headlights. If so, can't you just leave them uninstalled (in other words, not wired up--if they require a separate wire?).

The original poster mentioned that you must wire the Halo's and LED's up yourself, so if you want you can just leave them disconnected, or wire them to come on whenever you want.
Plus in another thread about these, I posted a pic of the rear of the housing, it is obvious that you must wire the halo's and LED's yourself.

I don't know if I like them or not, the look different.... I could picture them on a heavly modded Neon, but since yours looks pretty much stock, IDK. I personally like racoons the best. The black ones look okay, but haven't seen them on a car yet. Very expensive too.

For somone who is accutally brilliant, you buy these then remove the lens and then mess with it
for instance
- remove the L E Ds
- remove any other gay shit
- find a way to cover up the led holes
- paint the housing w/e color u want
lets see if i can do a chop...

With all that involved your better off building what you want in the first place instead of buying some junk just to remove all the junk....

I agree, for that much work you might as well start off fresh. What you stated to do is about as involved as a retro-fit. Pretty much you dont want anything but the projector? Even so these wont be very retro-fit worthy, even for small bosch single xenon you will have a hard time fitting them.

W3rd, make some better ones, then hate on these.
No offense hak, your work is nice indeed. But not everyone likes the ugly ass 03+ headlights/front end. So these would be our only option for those of us without the time or resources to make something ourselves. Not to mention the projector/halogen combo is nice for those who want to do HIDs and still have halogen high beams, like myself.
