So far I've opened one and painted thed the top turn signal area. He wants the front chrome piece, the surrounds on the turn signals and the bottom of the main reflector painted black to blend with his black 350Z. I think it's going to look great and stealthy once I'm done!
To explain better what I'm doing I decided to photoshop a pic to show.
Here is a stock 350Z headlight.

And last (for now) a top shot of the painted turn signal piece. The gray looking area just past that is just an illusion from the flash off the camera

Here is the now painted outer trim bezel that goes inside the clear outer lens.

And here is the now painted bezel laid over the housing to give you an idea of the overall look. I haven't painted the bottom of the main reflector yet but it's just about done.
. The projector lens is just there to help give a distinct cutoff line and control light in the center.
