Im gonna buy these rims + tires from a member here. The rims looks nice but im not sure about the tires... will them last for winter or couple thousand miles ?

If not, which tires would you guys suggest for all-season performance ?

Firstly, I'm sure the seller would be honest with you. Secondly, no they're not. The first and fourth one look like they need to be replaced very soon--especially if you're going to use it during the winter.

The rim will fit fine, the stock SRT-4 tire size will not fit because the 50 series sidewall is too tall for your strut perches.

Example Tire Size - P225/50R16

The 50 indicates that this tire size's sidewall height (from rim to tread) is 50% of its section width. The measurement is the tire's section height, and also referred to as the tire's series, profile or aspect ratio. The higher the number, the taller the sidewall; the lower the number, the lower the sidewall. We know that this tire size's section width is 225mm and that its section height is 50% of 225mm. By converting the 225mm to inches (225 ¿ 25.4 = 8.86") and multiplying it by 50% (.50) we confirm that this tire size results in a tire section height of 4.43". If this tire were a P225/70R16 size, our calculation would confirm that the size would result in a section height of 6.20", approximately a 1.8-inch taller sidewall.
Thats the best way I've seen it explained...in detail anyways.

Get 215/40/17's they are close to stock diameter and will not throw your speedo off enough to matter.

what u mean louder ?

well for stock struts and springs, 215/45/17 is the best bet for both performance and looks right ?

Let me be the first to tell you that those BFGs are the worst tires you could have in the winter.. .Even brand new with tons of tread.

I know I had to take off in 3rd gear in my NEON when I had the BFGs on it... just to move and I still spun some :(

How much are you spending on them?

Check out ebay for rims, search like this ( 17 rims evoke) they are selling sets of like five different design 17 inch rims for $340 shipped, then go to www.wheelselections.com for the Hankook Ventus H105 V4ES, in a 205/40-17.....great all season, performance tire, also has great treadwear, and are under $400 shipped for all four........

So you would get a set of BRAND new rims and tires for under $800, if you order one of thier specials (wheelselections.com), they are under $800 mounted, balanced and shipped, I have ordered from them twice, and if I ever have to get new wheels or tires ever again, I will definately be ordering from them again.

Give them a chance, I just ordered a new set of wheels and got the Toyo upgrade with the FZ4 all seasons, they look like a kick ass tire, and they are cheaper than the above noted Hankooks, and get better treadwear, you can't get the prices for the Toyos on thier website, but give them a call tomorrow, I gaurantee they are cheap!

$200 on the whole thing. Probably another $200-$300 for set of new tires.

I remember i read somewhere on this forum that people can fix scratched rims and paint them in no time.. But cant seem to find it anymore !!!! any help ?
