Its computer controlled so it knows when to shift (at redline) and shifts fast. It has a good gear ratio and it gets good gas mileage.

for an atx, thats damn good. I only get 22 or so with mainly street driving, and as much as 28+ when I used to drive on the freeway a lot. honestly, mileage differences of 5-10 mpg really arent as significant as people make them out to be. I have a friend at school with an old corvette that he claims gets 5mpg. now THAT's something to bitch about! :)

YES. Find an SRT4 - as for good things about an ATX 4 speed, like said above, your left foot does not get tired - unless you brake with your left foot

Its actually a pretty good trans as far as ATXs go. Takes alot tp blow it....belive me I was on my second 4 speed ATX before I started my swap. I used to deliver newspapers with it and put the pedal to the floor and stop again 20 feet later. Considering it lasted 80k miles with the beating I put on it then its def a good trans. Only bad side is there isn't many upgrades for it. Only thing you can do is ad external secondary cooler and filter. I did that after the first trans blew and I am happy with the way it shifted afterwards.

The 3 speed is stronger ... As for having an atx, its easy to drive. You can eat, talk on the phone, drink etc, since your right hand is free more often. Also yeah your left foot won't get tired too. Thats about it.
