yea, hooking up sat radio through an aftermarkt deck is much more of a rip than the plug and play kits that hook up to any deck. in any case, yea tnk, you need a receiver (black box), and an antenna. when i got my sirius p&p kit a year ago, i was looking at the option of the new deck/receiver setup, and the receiver's at that time were around $150-$200. they didn't come with an antenna either, which was another $30 or so. my p&p kit came out to ~$150, and that was with the car dock and home dock so i can listen to it virtually anywhere. much better deal at the time. :D

sirius is $12.95/month, and i think i pay like $13.6x when it's all said and done. so i would imagine that it's not much more than a dollar.

XM is great.. I love it. I just mounted my tuner on the back of my sub box. Nothing special needed.

Yeah I had to listen to them for a while to find it but I got it. I rarely even listen to CDs anymore... It's that good :) I do think it's a better selection of music than..... Sirius  No offense to those who have it... JASON! hehe

XM is Satellite radio, so, will this allow me to listen to my favorite german radio station anywhere in the world? And how would I tune into it.

xm and sirius have their own stations. afaik, there isn't any way to pick up any other stations other than each provider's own.

Dance music right? Yeah... There are a few good dance stations on XM. One I really like is 81, BPM. Lots of european stuff on there too.

I had xm for one week and hated it. I now have Sirius and already paid for a full year in advance

It's all pretty much the same, I just started with XM, had a Pioneer, and have learned to like it. Sirius was just weird to me.... Never had the channels I wanted or the ones I listened to didnt play what XM plays. I guess it's just preference! :)
