2nd best car after the neon..?

Post by Savior00 » Thu Jan 06, 2005 10:34 am

So if any of you did not drive a neon, what car would you go with?
I sorta like the intrepid new models but they are boats to drive..compared to neons at least

What about you?

i've got an intrepid es (3.2L) and must say that it hides its girth pretty well ;) just one thing about intrepids, you absolutely cannot get an SE with the 2.7 because they dont get out of their own way.

Thinking back to when I got the neon, Id probably have a '00 Silverado. But, as things work, I sould be driving a SuperDuty in a few months.

The more I drive trucks again, the more unnatural it feels in a small car.

i was almost forced into getting a early 90s sentra cause it was really cheap. thank goodness we got a good deal on my neon instead. :D

edit: oops  i didn't answer the question. the car i want over the neon isn't sold in the states:
alfa romeo 147 GTA... 250 HP n/a 3.2 V6 in a small hatchback (that looks better than a vw golf IMO). :D

Image

or the 156 GTA. same drivetrain as the 147, but in a small sedan.

Get the Ram. Cummins are nice.

(Im a 4wd diesel guy at heart, so of course that would be my vote)

If you must get something small, Dak R/Ts are nice.

Its just so handy to have trucks. Sure they get worse mileage, but actually being able to haul shit, or tow shit is nice. (if you have those kinds of needs. I seem to have more of those needs than trucks, and we own three already if you count the '57. eh)

if i find a Dakota R/T i WILL buy that. i LOVE those trucks. as for the Ram.. i do't want a Deisel.. well i do.. but Jessie doesn't liek the noise from a deisel. if i had a deisel it woudl have like a 4 inch exhsut ALL THE WAY BACK! anyways. my DREAM TRUCK woudl be the Dakota R/T or a Hemi Ram.

Bah, fuck that. Buy a big ass truck. If you want a ram, get one. The new cummins are quiet now.

I know of a TT ram that runs 12s on straight diesel. and into the 11s on propane.

Fuck little cars.

Bah, you dont buy a truck for gas mileage or cheap tires anyway. Especially a truck like that.

As long as I can get 8+mpg, and tires dont cost much more than $400-500 a peice, Im good to go (ah, those were the days, I miss driving the '57 every day)

*BTW, this is almost exactally like what Ill be sportin come summer time*

question, i know the PT is basically a neon in disguise... will drop coils for a neon work for a PT?

Bah, The neon is a Dodge, and I was raised with mostly GM.

Besides, Im gunna get a pretty good deal on it. (just about $52k, if I got it as a Lariat)

As far as the suspension, I doubt it. Front might be ok, but the PT has a solid rear axle, not independent like the neon, so the rears wouldnt work at all.
