CAR NEEDED ASAP FOR BODY KIT FITMENT!!!!! L.A., CA

Post by lambostealth » Wed Oct 04, 2006 5:48 pm

I was supposed to supply my car for pre fitment of the new widebody kit from AITracing, this week, it would have been there for two weeks. I have a tech install article to shoot and cannot do without the car during this time.

So here's what I need, I need a 2003+ Neon, NO DAMAGE AT ALL.
The car will be at AIT for two weeks for fitment of the widebody kit, you will get the car back as you delivered it, just a little dusty.

here is the kit that will be fitted to your car.

The shop is in City of Industry, CA, if you are able to help, please contact my via phone ASAP!!! In return of using your car, you will recieve a huge discount from the company when the kit goes into production, which should be mid-2007.

SRT-4's are welcome as well, the only difference is the hood which will be removed if your car is not an SRT-4.

My Mobile number is 559-362-2337, name is Chris, no BS calls please, if you want to call to BS, thats a different story.

This car is needed no later than tuesday of next week.

Thanks for the help guys.
-Chris

So, you have to pay to ship your car there (or drive it), they'll fit the kit to the car, remove the kit, and return it dirty?

They could at least wash them damn thing before returning it. What's in it for the guy that lets them use their car?

It does sound like a bit of a rip-off. You'd think they'd at least install it on the car for you, rather than just fitting it and taking it off, then give you a discount for your 2 weeks without a car.

Thanks for the input guys, it does say above that the car will get a hefty discount for thier time without the car, and I did put L.A. for a reason, but if you want to ship your car there, thats on you.

The discount will be like $500, thats more than enough for basically letting your car sit in a shop for two weeks, it's like two car payments for most.

I don't see any ripping off being done. They don't have a kit to install for you, they have a plug, a rediculously heavy, clay, body kit, thats going to be shipped out to Japan to be molded and put into production.

Look guys, I'm looking for a car, not an opinion, no-where in my schpeel did I say, "what do you guys think?", because it doesn't matter what you think. Someone out there will want a $1500 body kit for much less.

Thanks again, have a nice day.

Yeah, the discount will cover your payments, I'm just saying it will be a hassle to not have a car. You are absolutely right, it doesn't matter what we think, I'm nowhere near LA so it doesn't matter.

I don't really see the need to be a dick, honestly. I must have missed the 'discount' part of the post and was asking an honest question for others that may be interested.

I knew there were going to be questions about the whole deal, so I figured I could help clear them up a bit.

I think this post is getting out of hand. There should be plenty of neons in the local area to give up their ride for two weeks. Besides....even if someone was to ship their car that far......they would end up putting the $500 right back into the kit to pay for shipping. Common sense is not to do it. Only if you are in the local area.

The one in the pic had front end damge, and they need to make sure it fits a car wthout damage.

Ok I sincerely apologize, I am just a little frustrated trying to pull a lot of stuff together at once.

Sorry again.

Doesn't look too bad...I live not to far from there but I'm not sure how easily I could give my car up for 2 weeks.
