Holidays kick ass!!! I've got 4 days off this weekend & i figured i would spend some quality time with the neon. So i decided to polish up my CNC machined mounts thanks to Marakka!! I also finished cutting out the rest of the rear fender wells. Finally i got all my measurements i need for the cantilever so i can start building that. I brake out my mig to lay down some tachs & the fucker broke on me. The wire wont feed anymore & i dunno why. So i decided to modify some brackets. I had to trim off the rolled edge of the upper motor mount bracket & i also had to trim off the edge of the fender brackets. & to top off the evening today, my new flush mounted gas cap arrived today!!! You usually see these on choppers & they get color matched to the tank. You can hardly see them once they are finished. Mine will be going in the trunk on the new fender tub. Should look sweet when its welded in place!!

Not sure if i ever posted this info but i was planning on running cylinders for the front. Well i decided to scrap that idea. As some of you may remember, a company by the name of Cold Fusion or something of that sort, made camber plates. well the company isn't around anymore & i haven't found camber plates for a neon again. Well i found a company last night, but its a universal camber plate. As some of you may know, the front end needs strut mounts with bearing inside them so the strut can turn with the wheels. well im not a fan of cylinders & i thought i had no other choice. i couldn't find a bearing i trusted to use to make regular bags work in the front end. plus not to mention i am having clearance issues with the cylinders i purchased awhile back anyways. here's the pic of the camber plate i will be using

Got some more work on the neon done today. I put on the shorter Alt. belt & i mounted the new Alt bracket. Also since my buddy Alec flaked out on me in the middle of the project, i will be taking over the whole project. Anyways i decided to make the rear strut brackets for the cantilever. As soon as the welder shows up, i will start welding them together. Anyways, heres the pics

I was a lil off on my measurements for the middke bolt hole, but oh well, it still worked

Anyone who has worked with me on projects before knows this site all too well lol

waiting on the reply to the manufacturer of the Camber plates so i can start building the front struts
