Fabbin up a lip... Need your input..

Like the title says... Making a lip for my 02 bumper and I'll like to hear what you peeps think bout it... Gotta the idea off the Viper Competition Coupe and the is250/350 lip....

Right now its made of Cardboard and tape

(Cardboard suxs at bending)..... The inside of the vent area will be close up so you want see the endtanks of the Ic just, all you'll see is the bar and fins... It'll be pretty much made outta fiberglass since I so used to playing with it... To attach it the bumper, It'll be drilled into the wheel well area like the Inner Fender Liner is and Double-Sided (Heavy-Duty) on the parts that are on the front of the bumper... And I'm gonna line it up with the R/T sides so it'll be smooth all the way around.. (lip, r/t sides, srt rear)

So what I'm looking for is opinion.... Any comments are needed here peeps so let'em fly....

*Do you like the overall design??
*What would you change or add bout it??
*And any other comments??

So lemme know what you think??

i can't really give an opnion till it's glassed... just make it nice and curvy so it matches the bumper

I like the photoshop you did, when you deleted the fogs. Just like you did with the cardboard... I'd keep the shape of the middle hole, and transfer that to the lip. Looks good for being cardboard

get an R/T bumper...J/K! I've given you enough heck about that over in the Texas section...I think the lip idea is awesome as long as it doesn't hang lower than the rest of the car's body like the sideskirts...what happened to the Civic lip you were going to put on the car??

Why the hell is your intercooler upside-down?

Just flip it over and you won't have to go adding something you're going to trash later anyways.

Don't really know what you mean but the Ic is in this position cuz what you are referring to the top part, the mounting holes are bent pretty bad.... I didn't want the Brackets to be the only means of supporting it.... and this way made routing the pipes eaiser..

if you're gonna do it right, get yourself a foam block of the size that you need from www.fiberglast.com, carve it into the shape you want, THEN use that as a mold and fiberglass as many bumpers as you want... that's the only way

cut the lower part of the bumper and make it look like one large opening, sort of like when a srt gets its cross hairs cut.

Direct fit FTW.

Honestly, no bumper besides the kaminari will fit right. The srt-4 bumper will look just like that, the intercooler is below the crash bar. It worked well with the kaminari because its really really low. To move it up he has to a) cut the crash bar so the bottem of the IC is above the lower radiator support and b) cut out the bottem of his fender wells for the intercooler pipes to fit. Its alot of work. He cant just cut the bumper lower, the IC still sticks below the bumper.

If I were you I would keep going with the lip idea or just go back to the kaminari. The lip looks good, im just not sure of the cut out. Regardless you have the size about right for it too look good.

roneo wow your rims are hot...haha i just took notice to them even though i've looked at your car 1038720 times....02 r/t bumpers ftw with intercooler....

neonpla that srt would look more amazing if the rear was rolled...so it doesn't have an empty cut out

Sorry neonpla, don't like the huge donkey dick in the back... lol... I have a dump exhaust right now and it'll get converted to a side mount exhaust in the next 3-4 weeks... and I'm currently working on a rear diffuser like the ELW Srt... and plus I get some extra lil ponies from cutting the exhaust shorter...

I got away from the civic lip cuz it doesn't cover the Ic.... I'll say it again, I got away from the civic lip cuz it doesn't cover the Ic thats why I decided to make one that does... And yes I also though bout just gettin a srt front but how many peeps have already done so... if I was gonna get a srt front, I'll mod it so that I can still use me 00-02 headlights cuz I think they look so much better than the no style... And even the R/t front won't hang that low to cover it... I'm not bout to shed out $311 for the bumper that will need a lot of trimming done so it'll fit and then come up short.... Hell nah...

Gonna back to the Kaminari is pretty much out the question... Don't get me wrong... I like the kit and all but I get all the wrong attention from it... Cops hint hint wink wink... thats the real reason... Can't really go places without the constant harassment...

I'm trying to make my car different than all others.... Yea it might look ugly right now cuz its new to pretty much everyone... I'm still going ahead with the lip cuz I wanna make it happen...
