heater core
Anyone had to change their heater core? Just wondering how bad the whole deal was going to be?
It takes a mopar to catch a mopar boy!

Myself I haven't had to do it but just getting to the box that houses the heater core is a bit of an undertaking as you pretty much have to remove the dash to get to it

Removing the dash isn't really as hard as you might think. I had the entire dash out to work on some wiring, and once I figured out just exactly HOW to get it out it was pretty simple.
If you're actually planning on removing it, let me know and I'll do a "how-to" on it. I don't have time to type it out right now cause I'm at work. I should probably just write up a "how-to" regardless. I'll get on that...

I had the displeasure of doing it on my first generation and shouldn’t be much different on a second gen. The dash of course will have to come out along with the steering wheel. The A/C will also need to be purged. A good day’s work. If it’s leaking I would also recommend replacing the seals for the box.
