on my way back from drill(reserves) this weekend i heard some comotion at the front of the bus. i got up from my seat to check it out, and there it is.. a jet powered crx, i was like wtf..

it sounded like a plane driving around lol.

if you look in between the 2 tail lights you can see the exhaust pipe.. and the car was mostly gutted but you can see the guages on the center console.

also check out the license plate.

^ i wouldn't consider this rice.. you know the r&d you would have to do to do this, especially a street legal jet powered car.. it takes money and balls to do something like that.

why jet-power a car since you can only go so fast on street?

That can't possibly be street legal... :-k

He couldn't be using the turbine power to drive around, could he? He'd be melting people's grills and shit that are behind him... Doesn't the exhaust get a bit warm?

The exhaust looks like it drops little "presents" on the road as it drives by. I would have been very interested to hear this thing......

to bad that thing probley runs 20's in the 1/4. turbines take lots of time to spool when under a load. thats why the chysler turbine cars never took off (pun might be intended :D)

unless he's not using the turbine output to turn the drivetrain,, insead making it a turbo fan (like the fast jet powerd cars/trucks that have afterburners and such). then he could apply the brakes and release after allowing the turbine to spool up a little and then take off like a bat outta hell. but that be way unsafe for the street.
