BOred with my Neon

I've owned one for a year now and i'm bored. so at this point i decided which car i want next and looking for someone who can take over my payments. reason i decided to sell Neon is lack of power i can squeeze out of that 2.0 sohc engine and the car it's self. i have shit falling apart even tho' it has only 11K miles. i went for a test drive on an srt-4 and i LOVED IT and i can afford it but being 20 yearts old my insurance will be around 500 a month for full coverage. so then i took a 2002 mitsubishi eclipse GT V6 for a drive and realised that this car shall be my next ride. it's also a stick shift. everything i needed in the car....nice wheels. soundsystem, nice aftermarket CD player. moonroof. and ofcourse that 3.0L V6 under that hood. i started browsing through 3rd gen eclipse web sites and they look outstanding. i found a couple of them with turbochargers, and even superchargers. some guy is selling exhausts for eclipse GT's had a sound clip of the exhaust on GT and it sounded like a Skyline GTR.
so that's my story for now. as soon as i find someone to take over my payments.......bye bye Neon.

Would insurance for an Eclipse really be that much lower than for an SRT-4?

Eclipse GT V6s are SLUGs... I'd rather keep the Neon. Seriously, those things are horrible.

Agreed They are not as fast as everyone swears they are. Just find a used, like a older Esclipse Gt-S.

I'm 21 and my insurance for my srt and R/T is at 180 a month for full coverage on the SRT and PLPD on the R/T. I have a few good discounts though...

Maybe a neon could still be in your future? SRT's are fun

never had a roof rack...and you must of forgot that i had a cai, tb, thermal catbck....then went to a srt catback....and now i have a stock r/t catback on my car

ok so heres what you do....

....go the junk yard get the title to a wrecked neon if they will let you buy one....some do and some dont.....then take the vin sticker out of the car who's title who bought and swap it with the one in the srt....and presto you pay insurance on a neon and not an srt-4....but shh....you didnt get that from me....then when you want to sell the srt-4 just put the original srt vin back in....the title might be a few hundred bucks, but it will save you in the long run....unless you get caught and go to jail

took the words out of my mouth, I'm not going to comment on the build quality of Dodges, but at least the Stratus R/T is somewhat classy.

^^^^ i actually agree on the stratus R/T. it is a nice car but i'm just looking around. does it come with stick shift tho'? i wonder. if it does.....i want to get it. it's just with those 03-05 computers.....you can't really do shit to it. and if i cant get an srt-4, then at least i can afford some older car but with some n/a power. ( not alot but at least more than 2.0 sohc)

Yes the stratus r/t can come with a standard.

i have srt rear section with ebay cai. but i just bought an Injen CAI with K&N filter so i will be putting it on next week.

Hey! I want a roof rack. lol It's actually just for my snowboard, which at the moment has been where all my money is going. Maybe come spring time some money might find its way into my car.

the new stratus's dont..i was goin to trade my neon in for the stratus r/t and i went to the dodge dealer ship and the sales men said its not in standard..If they do though than im trading mine in for it, cause i need a bigger car..
