cars acting up

theres a whine coming form the gas tank area, the car idles liek a camed v8 after coming to a stop for like 10 secs. and it jerks when u give it gas while moving. anyone know whats up?

Sounds like the fuel pump to me... Usually starts to whine first. Now that your car is jerking when adding gas.... Fuel Pump

My car does that too. I don't have the whine though.. could it be a different problem?

Almost definitely the fuel pump....mine did that before it crapped out on me. I hope its not for your sake...not cheap. But mine did ride for months while whining so if it just started you should have some time.

its a walbro. and i just dont feel like pulling the tank again. it didnt happen after i drove the car again tongiht, so maybe it was a one time thing?

Maybe....mine did it off and on at first.....then became constant.

mine does the same... every one and a while. I have a Walbro installed in a spare tank, just waiting to be put in. Few more months before the fun begins.

Hope mine holds out till then...
